About us

rastløs was founded by mads friis becquet & clara shahrazad.

 

we're two friends who, one evening, took a restless stroll through vesterbro, copenhagen, and decided to play table tennis in the middle of the street. some time before, we had talked about starting a production company that focused on telling stories we felt weren't getting enough attention. stories about mental health, minorities, and the feeling of not fitting in or existing outside collective societal norms. we're not sure who, but one of us jokingly said, "shouldn't we call our company rastløs?"

standing there at 9 pm on a random weekday evening, each with a table tennis bat in hand, we looked at each other and knew that this was the perfect name.

 

at rastløs, we place an extremely high value on comfort and psychological safety. we believe that as a creative individual, you deliver your best work when you feel safe with the people around you. that’s when you dare to make bold choices and we are here to nurture that environment.

 

filmmaking is about having fun, even when telling stories that might hurt.
